Young Leadership Award Nomination

The intent of the Young Leadership Award is to foster and recognize leadership efforts within the speech-language-hearing profession in Nebraska. This award recognizes current students or young professionals in speech-language pathology and audiology who have demonstrated leadership abilities and/or who show potential to become leaders of NSLHA.

Award Criteria
Candidates who apply or are nominated must meet the following criteria:
• Be a master’s or doctoral level speech-language pathology or audiology student enrolled in an accredited university or a speech-language pathology or audiology professional that has graduated within the past three years.
• Hold a leadership position within NSLHA, UNK/UNL/UNO NSSLHA, NSSLHA, SAA, or a community professional organization and demonstrate outstanding leadership or significant contributions to the speech-language-hearing profession.
• Demonstrate high ethical standards.
• Be a member of the Nebraska Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Be a member of, and active in, at least one additional professional association (e.g., AAA, NSSLHA, SAA, ASHA).
